Your identity keys live on this device. Keep a backup so you can restore them if the device is lost.
Only calls with no direct path use it, and media stays end-to-end encrypted. Turn it off to use no third-party relay, or add your own below.
On a restrictive network, calls need a relay (TURN) server to connect. Add one from your provider or self-host; it is used for your next call, no restart needed.
This page comes from your gateway, so it always connects to it. To use another gateway, open that gateway's address instead.

Sovereign messaging on your Solid pod
Removes the DM history saved on this device. Encrypted DMs will no longer reload.
Deletes your local identity key, rooms, messages and pod sign-in. Download a backup first.
Up to 50 small images (64 KB max) usable as :name: in this room. Large images are shrunk automatically.
This code encrypts your recovery kit. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. You will need it to restore your identity, and it is shown only once.
Pairing code
On your other device, open Settings → Link a device, then enter the code shown there (or scan its QR).
Talk to anyone with a Solid pod, in any Solid chat app. These messages are shared plaintext, not end-to-end encrypted.

A private messenger where your conversations belong to you, not a company. You can start right now, no signup needed, and connect your own storage later if you want to sync across devices.

Have a recovery kit from a previous install? Restore your identity
Your messages live on your own Solid Pod, a personal data store you control. Pick a provider and choose an email and password. If you are new, we create your pod for you. A pod is also what lets you chat with people on other Solid apps.
Test the connection, then sign in through your pod provider. That browser sign-in is what unlocks cross-app chat, and you will come right back here.
Try Proxion right away on this device. You can connect storage later to sync across devices and reach people on other Solid apps.
Or join with an invite code:
